Psalm 130:5 – “I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.”
Waiting is hard sometimes. Whether we’re waiting for answers, healing, peace, or direction—it can feel like nothing is happening. But Psalm 130 reminds us that waiting on God isn’t empty. It’s full of hope.
The verse says, “my whole being waits.” That means all of me—heart, mind, body, and soul—is leaning on God. I’m not just sitting around. I’m trusting, watching, and holding on to His word. That’s where real hope lives: in His promises.
I’ve noticed something about myself—sometimes I can be really patient. Other times? Not so much. It depends on what I’m waiting for. Some things I can trust God with easily. But other things stir up worry and I get impatient fast.
What helps is bringing that impatience to God. He’s not looking for perfection—just honesty. I’ve learned to pause, breathe, and go back to Scripture. It helps me remember He’s working, even if I can’t see it yet.
Lord, help me wait for You with my whole heart. When I feel impatient, remind me of Your promises. Thank You for being faithful—always. Amen.
