The Nation That Bows Will Stand

It is not military strength that makes a nation secure. It is not wealth that makes a nation great. It is surrender.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” That is not a slogan. That is a standard. God does not bless a country because of its size. He blesses it because of its heart.

God looks for a people who turn to Him. Not people who are perfect. But people who pursue righteousness. Who stand for truth. Who protect justice. Who are not ashamed to call on His name in public or in private.

A nation that honors God will not always be popular. It will not always be praised. But it will be protected. Because the Lord Himself will be its defender.

You cannot control the choices of a nation. But you can choose what you honor in your home. You can pray for your leaders. You can stand for what is right. You can teach your children that God is not a side note in our country’s story. He is the source of every blessing we have ever known.

The nation that bows before the Lord will stand when others fall. That is the kind of nation we should pray to be.
