(For the man who’s stuck in his own head)
Let’s stop pretending. You do know what to do. You’ve just been sitting on it. Praying about it. “Thinking it over.” Talking in circles. Hoping someone else will give you the answer, the green light, the courage you should already have. But deep down? You already know. You just don’t want to be the one to pull the trigger.
The truth: indecision is a decision. And it’s usually a cowardly one.
Every time you delay the hard call, you’re giving fear more ground. Every time you wait until it feels easier, you’re forfeiting your leadership. Every time you hold out for a perfect path, you’re rejecting the faith walk God actually called you to.
God didn’t ask for your comfort. He asked for your obedience.
I wrestled hard with this when God started pushing me to leave a toxic company and launch full time into life coaching. I had the vision. I had the call. But I also had bills, pressure, and fear. I stayed longer than I should have, making excuses, shrinking back, tolerating dysfunction because it felt safer than stepping out. But deep down I knew: God didn’t bring me this far just to survive in someone else’s broken system. He called me to lead men. To speak boldly. To build something Kingdom. And none of that would happen until I chose to leave the old behind and trust Him with the unknown.
What decision are you dragging your feet on? Ending a toxic relationship? Making the career move? Stepping up at home? Saying yes to God’s calling? Don’t let “someday” become your spiritual deathbed. If God gave you the insight, act on it. If He gave you the vision, walk toward it. Stop waiting to “feel ready” — lead anyway.
Indecision keeps you stuck. Action moves you forward.
You don’t need 100% certainty to make a God led move.
The Holy Spirit is not confused. If you’re stalling, it’s not Him, it’s you.
